Introduction to Orienteering - April/May 2012
A new series of introductory sessions on Wednesday evenings to teach you the
basics of orienteering will be held
in Spring 2012. Newcomers very welcome; no experience necessary; help available. Events will also be held over the winter
and will have course suitable for newcomers - (fixtures page gives more details).

Summer League 2012
Twelve events, normally held on
Wednesday evenings in Gower, Swansea, Llanelli, Neath and Port Talbot and the surrounding area, from
May to August.
Although this is a league, newcomers are welcome to come to any event as a novice course and help are normally available

Success at European and World Championships!
Congratulations to SBOC club member Kris Jones who won a Gold medal in September in the Sprint event at the Junior European Championships held in Scotland. This was also followed by a 6th place in the Long event - an exceptional performance. Earlier in the year in July Kris won a Silver medal at the Junior World Orienteering Championships held in Denmark. This is the first medal ever won by a Welsh orienteer at this competition and Britain's best ever result at JWOC.
